Well, it’s been a while since I have updated this blog. New job, and time off from taking on new gigs has left me without much time or ambition to blog. However – I do have some work as of late that I will be updating as the year rolls into fall and winter. I will also be coming out with a new social portrait project soon that should span over the next few months, but should be fun. Stay tuned for that!
I did have some free time this week as my lovely fiancé has been working completely opposite of me. I think I have seen her a total of 3 hours this week. So I decided to do some wacky self portraits.
I have 2 sets. One is with an Orbis Ring Light. I have taken cell phone images of the setup, and the others are more standard head shots. I wanted different expressions though.
Everything triggered with PocketWizard Plus II’s. The Ring Light shots are done with a 35 1.4L and 5D Mark II and a cheap Yongnuo flash ($40 on ebay). The others are done with an AlienBee B1600 Strobe with 32″ convertible umbrella and gelled Yongnuo flash on the back wall.
